HFNA annual meeting set for April 30

Please join us for the HFNA annual meeting, which will take place from 6:00 to 7:15 p.m. on Monday, April 30. The meeting will be held at Huntingtowne Farms Elementary School (in the media center).

Topics will include updates on entrances, the greenway, and finances. You’ll also hear about some upcoming HFNA events. Hope to see you there!

HF Elementary Beautification Day is April 21

Bring your gardening tools and some energy to Huntingtowne Farms Elementary on Saturday, April 21, as we spruce up the school for spring! Tools to bring include shovels, trowels, gardening gloves, a wheelbarrow, trimmers, trash bags, toolboxes (in case an item needs to be reassembled) . . . whatever you think would be useful!

We’ll be there from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. Kids are welcome to help! Light snacks and water will be provided.

HFNA Halloween Party this Saturday

This Saturday, October 28, is the annual HFNA Halloween Party, created especially for our wee little pumpkins (kids 6 and under).

Join us at 1 p.m. on the HF Elementary front lawn (2520 Huntingtowne Farms Lane) for games, face painting, pumpkin carving, coloring, a potato sack race, prizes, and candy. Costumes are encouraged! The HFNA Ladies Club will provide tasty treats.

Ladies Club Halloween Party is October 25

Ladies of Huntingtowne Farms, it’s time for a Halloween party!

When: Wednesday, October 25, at 7 p.m.

Where: SouthPark Swim and Tennis Club Social Room (2200 Huntingtowne Farms Lane)

Dress to impress—best costume will win a prize. Bring your spookiest snack or desert to share, and as always, BYOB. No costume? No food to bring? COME ANYWAY! If your day got away from you, you deserve to get away!

Update! HF Fall Festival THIS SUNDAY, October 15

We’ve rescheduled, and now it’s finally time for our neighborhood’s biggest annual event!

Join us on Sunday, October 15, from 1 to 4 p.m. at Huntingtowne Farms Park (Ramblewood entrance). Archie’s BBQ will be there along with a live band, bounce houses, and the annual baking contest.

To enjoy the fun for free, you must be an HFNA member. Join online today, or pay cash at the event (still just $45 per year!). Guests are also welcome: $5 per person, $10 per family.

CMPD shares common-sense safety tips on National Night Out


At least ten police officers dropped by our neighborhood’s National Night Out event last Tuesday at Huntingtowne Farms Elementary. They thanked us for hosting the event and noted that crime in Huntingtowne Farms is low compared with other nearby neighborhoods.

Several elected officials and candidates for local offices also attended: County Commissioner (and HF resident) Matthew Ridenhour; City Council Representative (and candidate for mayor) Kenny Smith; Tariq Scott Bokhari, candidate for city council (District 6); John Powell, candidate for city council (at-large); and Jeremy Stephenson, candidate for school board (District 5).
