If you live in Huntingtowne Farms and have a rising kindergartener, or if you live elsewhere but are interested in applying for a magnet seat at the only CMS school that offers an International Baccalaureate theme AND an optional Spanish dual-language program, plan to attend an upcoming HFES open house. The first will be held this Tuesday, October 29, from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m.
Fun fact: HFES had the 3rd-highest growth scores out of all CMS elementary schools last year!
Open House: The next open house for prospective parents will be on January 29 from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m.
Dual Language Program: The application period for incoming HFES kindergarteners (for the 2019–20 school year) who would like to be a part of the Spanish dual language program will close on January 31. Please visit the HFES website for the application.
Donations needed: The HF PTA is planning a movie night and a STEAM Fest (see below) and needs raffle items. Do you have connections with a business that would consider donating an item or gift card? Do you have a restaurant/movie/activity gift card that you won’t use? Perhaps your kiddos received toys, games, or books that were too young/old for them or that they weren’t interested in? Please donate them to the HF PTA and help raise funds for our neighborhood school! Email Sarah Hayden for more information.
