A heads-up for HF residents: Mecklenburg County appraisal staff have been seen in our neighborhood examining home exteriors to gather information for next year’s property revaluation.
According to the county website, appraisers will always be driving a marked county vehicle and will NOT ask to come inside your home without an appointment.
For more information about the revaluation, visit the county’s website:
Once again, everyone in the neighborhood gets to be a judge!

Hooray for sunshine (finally)! Thanks to everyone who came out to enjoy great food, friends, and fun!
A team of about 20 volunteers spent Saturday morning tidying up Huntingtowne Farms Elementary School. The group trimmed crepe myrtles and bushes, planted flowers in beds and pots, weeded, removed brush, reapplied playground mulch, and painted staff bathroom walls. Thanks to all who helped!
On Tuesday, August 1, HF neighbors will celebrate National Night Out by gathering with local police and fire personnel to mingle, eat free food, and discuss ways to reduce crime and increase public safety. We’ll also have information on volunteer opportunities with the HF Neighborhood Association and HF Elementary School.
Our National Night Out event will take place from 6 to 9 p.m. at Huntingtowne Farms Elementary School (in the parking lot).
National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live. Millions of neighbors from across the United States and beyond participate in NNO on the first Tuesday in August. For more information, visit www.natw.org.
Thanks to everyone who voted! And the winners are . . . .
