Thanks to everyone for your cooperation in the delay of Trick or Treating for the safety of our smallest neighbors! The streets were full Friday and everyone appeared to be having a candy-filled good time!
Due to expected severe weather including wind and lightening Huntingtowne Farms will observe Halloween festivities on Friday, November 1st. Please help us communicate this message by sharing with your neighbors.
If you live in Huntingtowne Farms and have a rising kindergartener, or if you live elsewhere but are interested in applying for a magnet seat at the only CMS school that offers an International Baccalaureate theme AND an optional Spanish dual-language program, plan to attend an upcoming HFES open house. The first will be held this Tuesday, October 29, from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m.
Fun fact: HFES had the 3rd-highest growth scores out of all CMS elementary schools last year!
HFNA will host the Annual Kids Halloween Event THIS Saturday, October 26, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Huntingtowne Farms Park playground. Kids are encouraged to wear their costumes, decorate pumpkins, have their faces painted, and participate in a good old fashioned potato sack race! It’s always a good event for the kids and a great time to be outside enjoying the fall weather.
If you would like to help with the games or bring a spooky treat please email Brian Blackburn at firstname.lastname@example.org. Hope to see you there!
Shop till you drop at yard sales across Huntingtowne Farms this Saturday, October 12, from 8 to 11 a.m. Participating homes are marked on the map below.
***Sunset Slush will have a cart at 2941 Burnt Mill!***
SouthPark STC has invited our Neighborhood Association to cohost the Annual Chili Cook Off this year on Saturday, October 12th, 7:00-10:00 p.m. This event is not only delicious but also tons of fun! There will be cozy fires, lively music and of course tasty chili for all to enjoy. A great way to finally welcome Fall!
To enter the cook-off you will need to bring your chili in a crockpot so we can keep it warm. We will provide all the chili fixings like cheese, sour cream, chips, sliced jalapeños, etc. Awards (including the coveted silver trophy) will go to the top 3 chilis and the chili with the best name, so be creative!
If you would like to enter a chili, please email Info@southparkstc.com. If you just want to bring your appetite, let us know who and how many at the same email address. See you there!
Please join us THIS Saturday for our next Block Party on September 28th, 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. on Burnt Mill Road between Goneaway and Northampton. We will have the Plated Pallet food truck and Kona Ice since it will still be warm even though it is Fall! TVs will be set up to watch football at the Northampton end of the street while a bouncy house will be toward the other end.
Feel free to bring friends and family and please remind your neighbors! We hope you can join us for another great evening out!
